Recipes that are, like, really good.
These are some pretty dope recipes that I use/change/play with/learn from.
Fresh Strawberry Pie
This is my favorite (and only) recipe that I've used for strawberry pie. My whole thing was I didn't want that super gross, thick, artificial tasting glaze around my strawberries. They're so good right now, so I didn't want to cover them them up. Here's the recipe I went off of!
Chocolate Stout Cake
This cake is delicious. I'm usually pretty skeptical of Tasty recipes, but this one worked out. It also makes guys that I give it to think that it's cooler because it has beer in it. Which also means I get to drink while I bake it. I don't even know how many wins that is.
Cutout Sugar Cookies
I really love sugar cookies. I especially love Lofthouse Sugar Cookies, like from Ralphs, or whatever classic grocery store you have in your hometown. However, those are way too soft, and don't travel very well, so I wanted a little bit of a sturdier cookie. I found that in this recipe.
I had never really dabbled in custard pie. My mom makes a lot of buttermilk chess pies, but I didn't feel like going to the store. So I found this handy little recipe. I made one 9" round, and 3 lil 'mini baby pies that are, like, 3" round.
